Q) Can we transfer the fixed asset information into excel spreadsheets for different reports as needed using the Sage FAS software?

A) Absolutely! You can export Sage FAS information into Excel either through, File/Company Utilities/Export/Custom Export. OR, any standard report in FAS can also be exported into an Excel file (of your choice) when viewing in the preview window.

Q) Along with the depreciation tracking, the maintenance of CIP Accounting and off-premises assets are capabilities we are looking for in a fixed asset product. Is the FAS CIP Accounting product available as a product enhancement to FAS 50 Asset Accounting?

A) FAS 100 CIP Accounting does integrate with the FAS 50 Asset Accounting program. So yes, CIP is and can be an enhancement of the FAS 50 Asset Accounting product.

Q) How do I run a report listing the assets sorted by class in FAS 100/500 Asset Accounting?

A) You can create a Group in Group Manager and 'sort' by "class" in Ascending order, when executing your report, be sure to select your group you just created, then run your report.

Q) From FAS 100/500 Asset Accounting, is it possible to download the files into Excel spreadsheets? If so, are there instructions.

A) Yes it is very possible. Go to File/Company Utilities/Export/Custom Export. Select the fields you wish to export and follow the rest of the wizard. Also, any report you run in Sage FAS can also extract to Excel.
